*Students are to be working on their rainforest creature project due May Mon. May 14th - a complete sheet of instructions has been handed out and we' ve gone over it several times in class. Students may need your guidence in picking out the best materials to work with. Some have great aspirations but don't realize how hard making a bird all out of feathers would be. :) Many easy materials have been used. Paper mache', salt dough for small frogs and lizards, Pipe cleaners and tissue paper or beads or many other materials for butterflies. It's nice if the rainforest creature comes with a branch it's setting on or a hanging clothes hanger stand to hold it up like for a bat or butterfly. It's not necessary but it makes the atrium display go well if a few of the animals are mounted on wood or rock or something. Let them be creative and imaginative but not something that will take 20 hrs. to complete. Thanks!
